At Pushpanjali Secondary School, we believe that consistent effort and dedication throughout the academic year are crucial for student success. Our examination and promotion policies are designed to ensure fair evaluation and to encourage regularity and excellence in academic performance.
Promotion Criteria
- Year-Round Evaluation: Promotions are based on the student’s performance throughout the entire academic year. Regularity in work and consistent performance in examinations are of utmost importance.
- Final Examination: The final examination is comprehensive, covering the entire year’s syllabus. This ensures that students have a thorough understanding of all the material covered during the year.
- Minimum Passing Marks:
- For classes 1 to 5, a minimum of 40% in all subjects is required for promotion.
- For classes 6 to 10, a minimum of 45% in all subjects is required for promotion.
- The final result is calculated as the average of the three term examinations.
- Holistic Assessment: In addition to academic performance, a student’s behavior and overall progress are also taken into consideration when determining promotions.
Examination Rules
- Finality of Results: The results declared at the end of the academic year are final. It is not possible to reconsider the results or hold a re-test. This policy emphasizes the importance of consistent effort and performance throughout the year.
