Pushpanjali Secondary School was established by Mrs. Pushpa Bajracharya in 2040 B.S (1984 AD) with an objective to provide quality education. At that time there were very few good private schools in Kathmandu valley. In order to cater for the need, at first she started a preschool with five students and two teachers. The year after that the number of students went up to sixty. Then the school was upgraded to the primary level, after few years to lower secondary level and eventually to secondary level.
The biggest drawback for the school at that time was that it was run at a rented place which caused the school to shift to different locations. Every geographical move meant almost a restart of the school. Therefore the founder principal of the school decided to shift the school to her own premises in Godavari, the outskirts of Kathmandu valley. The present location is the fifth place of operation. The last move was the biggest one because the school had to shift from Kathmandu district to Lalitpur district, Godavari. Due to great distance and transportation problem only 70 students out of 400 students were willing to go to Godavari. It was a big challenge to restart all over again and get recognized in the new location.
However, today the school has been successful in establishing itself as one of the best schools in Godavari and Lalitpur district as a whole.
